We will contact a local tow truck company to pick up your car for free. Afterward, we will send you a donation receipt via email or to your mailing address.

What is your tax deduction for donating a vehicle?
To thank you for your donation, we will provide a receipt, via email or by mail, you can use for your tax deduction.
To claim your tax deduction, you must itemize your deductions on your tax return. The charitable deduction applies in the fiscal year in which you submitted your online donation form, even if the vehicle is not picked up until the following year. After selling your donated vehicle at the highest price, we will send you a tax-deductible receipt, indicating the selling price of your vehicle. If your vehicle sells for less than $500, the receipt will be for $500. If the vehicle sells for more than $500, you can claim the exact amount for which it was sold.

What documents are needed to donate a car?
Requirements vary by state, and in many cases only the vehicle title is required. In many states, the entire process to obtain a copy of your vehicle's title from the Department of Motor Vehicles can be done online, and all you need is the car’s VIN and the title number. Both are found on the vehicle registration card.
Once the donation is processed by phone, a local towing company will contact you to schedule a time to pick up the vehicle. Generally, pickup is scheduled within 3 business days; you should have the documents and keys ready.
